1. Introduction & Platform Nature

Welcome to Relifish. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Relifish website, mobile applications, and services. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms.

Relifish is a peer-to-peer marketplace platform. We are not a fish seller, merchant, middleman, or delivery provider. We do not source, store, clean, cut, or deliver seafood ourselves. Our service simply connects seafood buyers in Mumbai directly with independent, local fish sellers (such as fishermen, Koli women, and neighborhood fish stalls).

2. User Accounts & Registration

• Verification: To browse specific pricing, place orders, or pre-order catch, you must register an account using a valid Indian mobile number verified via a One-Time Password (OTP).
• Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete location and profile details. Saved addresses are stored on your device/account solely to simplify checkout.
• Responsibility: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your verified phone number. Relifish reserves the right to suspend accounts displaying fraudulent behavior or spamming sellers.

3. Pricing & Catch Availability

• Daily Fluctuations: Daily fresh seafood pricing fluctuates dynamically based on weather conditions, dock landing volume, and seasonal catch availability. All listed prices are set directly by independent sellers, not by Relifish.
• Pre-order Confirmations & Refunds: When you pre-order tomorrow's catch, you pay a maximum estimated price upfront to reserve your portion. The seller will confirm the final morning rate prior to preparation. If the final price is lower, the remaining amount is automatically refunded to you. If the morning price is unacceptable, you have the right to cancel your pre-order with one tap for a full refund.
• Out-of-Stock: Since seafood is subject to daily catch limits, a seller may cancel or decline any order if a specific species is unavailable or does not meet quality standards.

4. Payments & Transactions

• Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely via our integrated payment gateway (Razorpay). We accept major credit/debit cards, UPI, and net banking. Relifish collects these funds securely and settles the payments directly to the respective independent seller's bank account.
• Platform Fee: Relifish does not charge buyers a platform fee or transaction commission on the listed price.

5. Delivery, Pickup & Hyperlocal Shipping

• Fulfillment Options: Buyers can choose scheduled self-pickup from the seller's local market/stall location, or choose hyperlocal home delivery (where offered by the seller).
• Fulfillment Terms: Each seller defines their own pickup windows, delivery radius (typically up to 5km), delivery fees (fixed or distance-based), and free-delivery thresholds. These terms are presented transparently on each seller's page prior to order placement.
• Timeliness: While sellers aim to meet estimated slots (e.g., morning 7–9 AM), exact times are subject to morning catch landings and local logistics.

6. Quality & Inspection

Seafood is highly perishable. Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect all items immediately upon pickup or delivery. Any disputes regarding quality, freshness, weight, sizing, cleaning, or custom cuts must be raised directly with the seller at the time of receipt.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Relifish DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Relifish shall not be liable for the quality, safety, healthfulness, preparation, freshness, weight, or delivery of seafood listed by independent sellers. Any transactions, agreements, or disputes are strictly between you and the respective seller. In no event shall Relifish be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our marketplace.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect operational or regulatory changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after updates implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
